Did You Know...A Kalispell Cookbook Helped People Get Food?
Normally, when you think about cookbooks you think about using them after you get the food, not the cookbook being responsible for getting that food. Confused? Let's clear that up.

The Flathead Food bank in Kalispell, had a really good idea one year for Christmas. In order to provide more food to those in need, they decided to make their own cookbook, using recipes from various Flathead Valley resident. According to Lori Botkin with the Flathead Food Bank, the proceeds from the cookbook went towards feeding the hungry. With over 20 pages and more than 300 recipes and tips, the wonderful little book did more than explain how to make great brownies, it showed that this little community really does care about the people who call it home. The cost of the cookbook was just $10. 75% of that, went to feed those who needed it. A truly wonderful Christmas gift.
